The 24th Gorkha Cup, which connects Nepali communities across the globe, has successfully concluded. The Gorkha Cup is regarded as the largest sports and cultural festival of the Nepali community in the United Kingdom, featuring participation from Nepali communities from around the world.
Organized by Tamudhee UK, the tournament was held on 24 May 2026 at Queens Avenue Playing Field in Aldershot.
According to the organizers, around 20,000 spectators attended the event. In the Men’s Category, Rangbang Society UK defeated Guruji Elite FC 2-0 to claim the championship. The winners received £3,500 in cash, along with a shield, trophy, and certificate, while the runners-up received £2,000.

In the Veterans Category, FC 04 emerged victorious, and in the Women’s Category, Tamang Society FC won the title. A total of 56 teams from different countries participated in this edition of the tournament.
Dipendra Gurung, President of Himalayan Jet, attended the event as the guest of honor and distributed the prizes to the winners. Himalayan Jet, under Dipendra Gurung’s leadership, is preparing to launch premium long-haul flights from the UK to Nepal, India, the USA, Australia, and other destinations to better connect the global Nepali community with their homeland.

The tournament is organized in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in the United Kingdom. Beyond sports, the Gorkha Cup has been promoting Nepali culture, cuisine, music, and community unity among the Nepali diaspora.
Dipendra Gurung has also committed to bringing together the Nepali diaspora all over the world.
